This is beautiful. It never occurred to me that Costello as her surname might need an explanation. I love how you connect the Emily Dickenson to Suzie's father and his lack of interest in her poetry and that's why she's attracted to it, but then later it becomes a source of comfort when she's grieving.
I also loved the recruitment you create for her also. I think I'll make it my canon.
