WHAT ELSE YOU GOT FOR ME, HUH!?

So. In addition to everything else, I just got my test results back from the doctor. High cholesterol (which runs in the family), diabetes a strong likelihood (also runs in the family), and scarily low vitamin D (Vitamin D? What am I, ten!?) So I apparently am not allowed to eat anything with sugar or carbs, and must stick to low/no fat or cholesterol. I will be eating lettuce.

(It's really not so drastic, but...seriously? CAN I PLEASE CATCH A BREAK SOON!?)

*Stops complaining*

How is everyone else?

Welcome to the "eating vegetables" club. MEH. I need to watch my calories as well, but am mostly sticking with the no meat rule. I eat chicken a couple times a month and that's it. I get to eat fish tho! BOO HISS.

lol

Vitamin D deficiency is something that a lot of people have especially women and they do not realize it. One of the things that causes it is our lack of spending time in sunlight. We are shut up in buildings all day. Taught to avoid sunlight because if skin cancer, etc. etc. But... Vitamin D is important to a lot of body functioning and can throw a lot of things off within one's body.

Gah. What a not-fun fiat to be given before the holidays, when ALL THE FOOD is high cholesterol and carbs. :(

welcome to the club! I have been on a diet all my life, being a chronic anemic and wasting tons of energy due to sport!
Veggies are not so bad if you find nice recipes and different ways to cook them!
hope you get better soon!
