Author Notes: Inspired by this picture by irbisn on deviantART, which was posted byxrai_namere. It’s a lovely bit of artwork and I tried to get in all of the implications of the image while maintaining a vague story arch. That said, each scene could also be regarded as a standalone. (And apparently, I'm still on a "many glimpses of their relationship kick." Sorry about that!)
