Ladies and Gentlemen, My Mother....

From earlier this evening.

Mom: Is that...does that book say "Torchwood" on it?
Me: Maaaaybe.
Mom: It's a Torchwood book?
Me: Maaaaybe.
Mom: So it's "hardcover fanfiction"?
Me: Er, yeah, kinda.
Mom: And you paid for it?
Me: IT HAS A PRETTY COVER. SHUT UP.
Mom: So it's not any good then.
Me: ...........
Mom: Thought not.

That is all.

(It's actually not that bad).

Also - "Hardcover Fanfiction"? Yep. You guessed it. Another band name.

Which one are you reading?

I'm divided about the books, personally. I like some of them, but in a lot of others, the characters are OOC to the point of being unrealistic or unlikable (even Ianto!) and lots of the authors push Gwen/Jack like crazy.

Psst. This depends on your view on piracy. This site has free downloadable TW ebooks. http://www.freebookspot.me/ My suggestion is you look through them and then buy the ones you like best. That way you're still supporting BBC and the writers, but don't end up with a Gwacky book you hate.

You are my favorite!

And yeah, I got a bunch and then...I just wanted to throw them across the room, or something. But I finally got this. And I get the whole OOC-ness...this one had Ianto making a 'whatever' sign with his hands that made NO sense. I sorta lay the book down and sighed. Because I don't think the author intended it to be an ironic, sarcastic gesture; just a bratty 90's gesture. Or something.
