I know what you mean! It's weird to me, because I remember when I started watching it, and getting ideas, I was thinking to myself that surely the fandom wasn't still going, as far as new ideas and all of that, and I was totally wrong. In part, I think, because so many other people were also discovering it at the same time? It's totally weird though, I agree. ;)
I think I work best in moods too. And moments. *nod* Anything more than that, and I start to think too much, lol. It's weird too, because I started out writing much longer stuff. The first (really horrible) fanfic I wrote was this epic, 200 page thing. XD;; But even then, I didn't really have a plot? XD;; And now, all my ideas seem to be compressed into about 2-3K words. >_>
Anyway. :P Yes, I know what you mean about TW having infinite possibilities. *__* I tend to be intimidated by time lines, so I probably don't use all the possibilities as much as I should, but... You're right, there's just so much there. And that, in addition to knowing that you're writing for people who are interested and want to see these characters interacting already is such a boost, inspiration-wise. *__*
And you know, I'm really glad I'm not the only one who needs prompts in order to get anything done anymore. XD;; I think I like them because it takes some of the pressure off, and gives me an "excuse" to write something. Otherwise I tend to sit there thinking "I'm sure this has been done; what's the point of writing THAT," etc. ;)

...And dammit, now I want to write something! >_>
