Birthday-Related Thank Yous!

OMG YOU GUYS.

You all made me happy-teary and just wonderful and I love you all.

Below are some serious thank yous. But FIRST!

So my best friend Kerri took me to the bar where we met up with a bizarre conglomeration of my friends. She invited her boyfriend along who invited his friend. First, I want to say that her boyfriend is absolutely lovely and he and I get along well and I hope they stay together  so that he and I can talk about James Marsters all of the time. And because he said that he appreciates fan fiction as a literary art.

BUT MOST IMPORTANT. Her boyfriend brought a friend. Yes he did. His name is Gareth and he is Welsh. It is not the same Gareth, of course, but drunk!Saria totally proceeded to ramble on about Torchwood and Doctor Who for the remaining hours. But Welsh Gareth left soon after arriving to go to a club. Still, it made me giggle. Because, well...duh. I mean, seriously, TW? Stop stalking my life. No, wait, don't. Please don't.

Anyway, THANK YOUS!

This part is comprised entirely of thank yous. Think of it as my Nobel Prize for Literature Speech (and I am most definitely kidding). And seriously, I have a lot of people to thank. So. Yes. Turn back now or forever hold your peace (or your piece, if you’re that way inclined).

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] analineblue for the Japan donation gift and to [livejournal.com profile] sassysailorgirl  for the headphones (that I didn’t see until recently – stupid lack of LJ notifications! Sorry, hun!)

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] siobhan_jane  for the rec on [livejournal.com profile] jackxianto. I really appreciated it and it made me blush a whole heckuva lot.

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] thebuttonontop  and [livejournal.com profile] xrai_namere  (and Bene!) for celebrating my birthday approximately 2 weeks early, so we could all get together. And thanks, Button, for dinner-that-was-actually-lunch-but-not-quite. :-D

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] sassysailorgirl for the lovely dragon card and sweet sentiments. Like I said earlier, they made me a bit teary. :) I love getting mail, so it was fun to find something in my mailbox!

For special posts, I must thank [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted[livejournal.com profile] beesandbrews[livejournal.com profile] jedi_harkness, and [livejournal.com profile] sassysailorgirl.

Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] analineblue for the fic and to [livejournal.com profile] zazajb for the mention on her fic!

Also, thank you to [livejournal.com profile] toshiani007 and [livejournal.com profile] cwitch for the v-gifts and [livejournal.com profile] toshiani007 and [livejournal.com profile] too_beauty for the messages.

Apologies if I forgot anyone. OH! And [livejournal.com profile] usakiwigirl, I totes had at least one drink (if not multiple!) in your honor. Which explains why the screen is so damn blurry....

But yes - thanks for making my birthday one of the most special I've had in a long while. <3

Non-LJ thank yous, just to send the good vibes out into the world via the intertubes.

Thank you to my coworkers for the card and gifts, specifically “Gwen” for donuts and lunch, and “Tosh” for the Starbucks gift card.

Thank you to Splash Car Wash for the free birthday cleansing procedure and the half-price interior work. My car is especially grateful. As is my wallet.

Thank you to the ladies at Coco Nails for the massage and the tea and the general loveliness.

Thank you to Richard at Radio Shack for getting the WHOLE BLOODY STORE to sing Happy Birthday to me and making me feel better about my dumb clumsiness and just being an excellent employee all around. You seriously brightened my day.

Thank you to Kerri for dinner and for the alcohol. Apologies if I said anything untoward or behaved in an inappropriate manner, but really, what did you expect? ;) And thanks, too, for all of the people who live in my Facebook for sending lovely messages.

Thank you to my brother for the card and for tolerating my teasing, “I bet I can make this card relate to Torchwood.” And to my father for the $50 that was used on total random crap that I didn’t need.

Thank you to the 754796887 people who said “I tried to get you a pony, but…” for making me laugh, and letting me know that you pay attention even when I say idiotic, pointless things.

Thank you Amazon for shipping out the TW audiobooks 2+ weeks early AND for letting me get August Rush and the Alexander Directors Cut for “free.”

Annnd....I think that's all. Again, apologies if I've forgotten anyone.
