 I just watched End of Time. It seemed appropriate for the pending rapture, which has (apparently?) passed me by. Or, passed me over really. But here are some things that made me raise my eyebrows.

1) The Doctor has married and had sex with Queen Elizabeth I. Anyone who knows me even the slightest knows that I am...a bit...in awe of this. Please tell me that there is Ten/QE1 fic out there somewhere? I need to have it all.

 

2) Why does Rassilon have the Risen Mitten? I'm...slightly perplexed. 
 

3) Look, I know it's a raw and painful concept anyway, but the scene with Jack - WHAT THE BLEEDING FUCK!? "Save everyone's life!  Except Jack, who can't die, so pimp someone out to him!" He could've just, you know, said some nice words? Like, "You aren't wrong." Or something. It...really made no sense, actually. And I don't really understand what Alonso was doing in that bar to begin with. Did the Doctor bring him there? What's going on? (Also, do not find him attractive in the slightest. It might have been easier to handle, if I did). 

 

4) Yeah. I totally ship Ten/Master all of the time forever now. SHUT UP. 

 

5) I watched all of the specials, actually, and just want to say: WHY IS EVERYONE FROM ROME IN THE WHONIVERSE?! Okay, not everyone. But we've got Servilia (Adelaide Brooke) and "Newsreader" (Churchill) and Niobe (Suzie). Interestingly, Lindsay Duncan was also in Christopher and His Kind (I really love Lindsay Duncan, I think. She is beautiful). Am I missing anyone!? But really, it just makes me super happy. :D

 

Now I will have to watch Season 5 (FINALLY) when I am a) not bawling my eyes out and b) not being harassed by my family. I mean, seriously, the Doctor is being all sad and emo and epic and I'm crying hysterically - STOP ASKING ME WHAT  THE TARDIS IS! 

 

Anyway. Yes. Ten/Elizabeth, anyone? PLEASE!?

Ugh!!! The Jack and Alonso scene just irritated the shit out of me when I first saw it. I reckon it was just RTD messing about with the Janto fans. And it's ok. I don't find Titanic Boy attractive, either. So not my type.

Season 5 is fun! I think you'll enjoy it. I'm waiting for this week's episode at the mo.

It was an interesting episode, but I can tell you, I almost puke in the Jack and Alonso scene, I didn't expect that, Jack had made a promise... But, well, so far, I wont watch 5th season, I love Torchwood, I even have the logo tattoed on my back, but my life stopped a little the day Ianto died. That's just my opinion, as I told you before, I respect everybody, I don't want to offend anybody. Thanks, friend!!!

Now you get it! lol. yeah the Jack/Alonso scene. I mean, Jack still had tears in his eyes. His flirting was so damned forced. I love how JB did that. i just hate that it was there. and yeah. Not too sure why big-eared silly looking Alonso was Ianto's replacement shag... but still. IRRITATING.

that said. OMFGTEN/MASTER. DUH... it wrote itself. all the time. forever. I LOVE IT. its my favorite... sorry Rose. lol.
and I now own season 5. so as soon as you get get your behind up here, we should watch it.

and now, I'm remembering the ending, and trynig not to bawl my eyes out here at work. Dammit. I have only watched EoT twice. and both times... i cried for something like a day afterwards.
oddly enough, Matt Smith is fast approaching Tennant in the role of 'my Doctor' (sad but true) BUT! I MISS TEN!

yeah. and also, season 6? best season of Doctor Who yet. Hands down. Neil Gaiman needs to write every episode forever, and we need to get you caught up so we can squee over it.

There was not a lot to love about The End of Time. I thought 10 was horrible to Jack in that scene. To me it came across as, "I was a dick to you about your flirtatious ways. I'm sorry! Have a boy!" Yuck. Yuck so much that I wrote my own explanation for it in The Siren Song of Adventure. Because it still bugged me months later and I needed to get the taste out of my brain.

I was crying so hard ... I loved Ten. But Eleven is adorable, too, so it's okay, really. :)

And that bar scene: Loathe it. It's pretty much the only scene in that series I hate! Along with every other scene in which the Doctor's mean to Jack ... :(

That scene... the tenth Doctor was never a very nice person to Jack, and that scene was painfully in character.
