AUTUMN!

New clothes + Not going out in ages + Lots of free time = WTF why is it taking me 3 hours to get ready!?!

Besides, Sunday night is usually "stay at home in pajamas, do some laundry, eat some food, watch some Netflix" day. But it's autumn and I swear I have reverse SAD (which is technically impossible, I know) because I am SO excited as soon as it starts getting cool out.

SO EXCITED that I'm wearing cowboy boots, you guys. And pretty clothes. And leggings. When did I even BUY leggings!?

I can't wait for life. Until spring, when I decide that life is miserable again. But from now through February? I am unstoppable. In my cowboy boots and leggings. Or something!

What it comes down to, though, is that I really don't like going out, but I love getting ready. Listening to music, rummaging through my jewelry box, putting on makeup, layering so many clothes! Dancing around my room, hoping that no one actually sees me....:-/

I missed having evenings like this, when the sky is getting dark and all of my energy is bubbling over, and the air has that crisp scent of memories and leaves and fires-to-come. Nights when I know "just one drink" or "just one hour" is a total lie, and it's okay. It reminds me of high school, back when I had Absolutely No Problems. Not that I knew that I had Absolutely No Problems then. But whatever.

So...yay! :D

Oh, I adore Autumn, too. That's my fave, then winter, then spring (because at least it's better than summer), and then, ugh, summer.

There's something about autumn. It makes you feel alive. There is such a thing as summer SAD, you know. I have the winter version, but I don't love summer, just because it's hot and sticky and I hate sticky. Autumn makes me feel like I can do anything. I like that. It makes you feel that way too, apparently. It's all good.

I'm not much for autumn or winter, but I can definitely relate to the whole 'getting ready' thing. I don't go out - if ever - these days, aside from going to and from Uni or the High School, but, just... getting all dressed up and like you said, dancing around, doing make-up, finding the perfect outfit, that is the best.

Well, reverse SAD is not any more hard to believe than SAD itself ;) I get weird looks when I take my SAD lamp to work and such, so.... *shrugs*

I entirely relate to the yayness... even though I'm not starting to go into hibernation mode :D
