And A Meme, For Good Measure

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] fiwen1010:

If I made Cinderella, the audience would immediately be looking for a body in the coach. —Alfred Hitchcock

When I write a story, what do readers immediately look for?

Unexpected sad. Which, considering that I'm expecting it, shouldn't be quite so unexpected.

<3 It just means I'm really good at being unexpected, maybe? ;) I lull you into a false sense of security before I attack! ;)

Pure word magic! You've quite the turn of phrase.

I just read this to my mom. ;) Thank you! *proceeds to blush for hours*

Sad stories, sometimes with an ending that leaves some space for hope. Sweet portrayal of the characters. Most of all: A good read.

♥ I'm really, really happy to hear that the hope comes through.

Going with the above: you can turn a phrase, and when you write sad!fic I don't LEAVE sad. And we agree quite a bit on characterization, which is always a plus!

I'm weighing the pros and cons to printing and framing this. What would people think? ;) Agreeing on characterization is good! Though I wonder how much of that happens through fic osmosis...Ficmosis, if you will.
