I'll confess here that I don't watch much TV, so my comparison of TW to other hero genre entertainment was mostly movies and comic books. Heh. Maybe it's intentional? Sort of, we are in TW's shoes and as the viewer we not only experience their close-knit familial bonds, but also how much they are cut off from everyday human life. Sort of like... who watches the watchmen? What are these fucked up people who think so litte about us doing saving our lives? (Okay, I admit that that's too far a stretch). On the side of the fault of the writers... well, these are the people who gave us alien sex gas, cybermen in heels and COE. ;)
