Yeah, right. (Actually, I will probably be catatonic because the drive is SO LONG).

You have absolutely no idea how envious I am of you.
When I came to the US, I had this delusion that I could go to all the cons I wanted to, and then I realized that the US is pretty damn HUGE. And that cons aren't exactly cheap. Sigh. But never mind that, there's always another time.
Anyway, enjoy the con (GDL will be there!) and if you could get your hands on the TW audiobooks, the drive won't seem so long (I highly recommend "In the Shadows" and "The Sin Eaters").

Yes. It IS huge. We've 14+ hours to drive IN HOLIDAY TRAFFIC (so maybe 20+?) for, what, a few hours to see Kai and Gareth (because I'm so pretending I'm on first name basis with both). We're only going for about a day because we've both got crazy nuts schedules.

Let's just hope my car stays in tact, my bank account doesn't run dry (and oh, it will...I'm already panicking about bills!), and that my copilot will be able to attend! If so, I'm making her bring all the audio she has and I will bring all I have and it will be an adventure. Probably posted on here in epic real-time detail.

If we do go. I'm not counting any chickens yet. :)

Yes, we are insane.

I have listened to Sin Eaters. And I have three radio plays on CD as well. And both the Torchwood and Who (4th season) themes. Which will be played over and over and over.

Yeah, it is. And I thought twenty minutes to the capital back home was far. Now it takes me two hours to the nearest city (which by my standards isn't quite large either).
*shrugs* Ah, well. I would've gone to TARDIS Chicago if I'd been here I little longer. I've only been here for a few months and I didn't have anyone to go with, and I wasn't ready to venture into the vast unknowns of the US of A alone so very soon.
