Author’s Note: A short little blurb, a drabble, plotless and maybe pointless. But it made me smile when the idea came to me. Let me know what you think! Feedback makes me a happy girl and is very much appreciated!

Lick

     It was a creamy, slightly off-white color that glowed warm, rich and thick. The heady aroma gently wafted up to him. It smelled deep, an intriguing combination of savory with a sweet undercurrent flowing beneath the surface. Ianto closed his eyes as he breathed in the intoxicating scent.

     He could feel Jack’s eyes trained on him as he continued and he smiled to imagine the deep, saturated blues darkened with lust.

     He opened his own eyes and noticed a small spot of the creamy substance on the back of his smooth, pale hand. That simply would not do. Carefully, he brought the hand up to his mouth. He stuck a tentative pink tongue out and languidly lapped it up.

     And then he made the most disgusted face Jack had ever seen.

     “What’s the matter?” Jack chided softly.

     “I will never understand how Gwen could drink this with so much cream and sugar,” he grumbled as he walked the drink over to her workstation.

Is Gwen unable to appreciate truly awesome coffee? Because truly awesome coffee does not need milk or sugar, and I cannot believe that Ianto would make anything less than truly awesome coffee.

I feel for Ianto, having to turn his sublime coffee into a pale, sugary concoction for Gwen. He might as well give her instant, she probably wouldn't notice the difference anyway, not with all the cream and sugar masking the taste!
