I Blame The Medicine....

Dear Cold,

I understand that you only visit occasionally, and that you must miss me terribly. It must be difficult for you to be apart from me for such extended periods of time; I respect that. That said, I pray that you make this current visit as short as possible. I have a lot of things that need seeing to, and having a house guest for any length of time makes me a bit sluggish. 

I have tried (unsuccessfully it seems) to hint that it was time to cut this visit short. I have blatantly ignored you, to no avail. I then attempted to sleep all day that you might get bored and leave to find more entertaining company. I stocked the shelves with juice and medicine; I know how much you hate those things and figured that, without good things in the pantry, you would venture out to find better food. I even showered a few extra times and used up all the hot water. Yet still you linger!

I am loathe to be so blunt, but I fear I must be. Cold, I ask you to leave the premises immediately. I am tired of your meddling - this has gone on for far too long! I would ask you never to return, but I know that would be futile. I will, however, request that you drop a line at least a week prior to your next visit that I may be better prepared for your arrival.

*giggles* =D This was quite entertaining, I have to say. Any cold that sticks around after that is clearly asking for it. ^_~
