No, I was totally mad that it wasn't Ianto, too. But that's a thing that I can look past if it made sense (I'm...relatively pragmatic, maybe? When I want to be? lol).
No one understands how Rex became immortal. The blood thing can't be it. We KNOW it's not Jack's blood. And you're right. Owen would've known, or John Hart would be immortal, or Jack's blood would be gone.
