I Feel Like It's Been Months

I don't know why it feels like it's been so long since I've updated. It hasn't been. But here I am.
I also wanted to thank you all for your prompts! I managed to write something tonight! YAY. It's been really hard to sit down and get words out; every time I do, I end up updating my food journal or researching recipes.
Speaking of - I've lost ten pounds in the past 10 days. This is Very Exciting News. The diet has been going well, too. I've not yet deviated and I'm keeping track of everything I put in my mouth. It's funny - I'm more obsessed with food now than I ever have been. Oh well. And I'm taking SO MANY vitamins. I take 6 different vitamins/supplements a day. In any case, I've been much more energetic the past couple of days. Let's hope this lasts.
And I'm having fun with it. I went on a cooking spree yesterday, so I have plenty of food to last me through the week. Three different flavor chicken breasts, sauteed kale, roasted Brussels sprouts, vegan chili, and these lentil cakes that I adapted from this recipe with stuff I had on hand. As I had lentils, kale, and sweet potatoes, though, that wasn't too hard. They came out pretty well! I think I might try them on a wrap at some point, with hummus and a bit of lettuce.
Anyway. Enough about food, even if it's all I can think about now! So. Uh. That concludes this entry? ;)

Date: 2011-11-15 01:58 pm (UTC)10 lbs in 10 days is amazing. Remember how good it feels when things inevitably slow down. But cooking for yourself and eating healthy is a lot of fun. It sounds like you're being mindful, and that's half the battle. I need to start writing things down again. Thank you for reminding me!

Date: 2011-11-18 01:17 am (UTC)Writing things down is...awful for me. Hopefully, when I talk to the doctor (which will be a month's worth of data), s/he will let me stop. I get a bit crazed and have to keep myself from not eating so that I won't feel guilty about writing things down. If that makes any sense at all.
And thanks for the encouragement! I will definitely remember - I know it'll be tough, but it's so worth it. :D
