You know, I'm going to have to combine these all now, somehow. *facepalm*
They go to a hotel (a particularly fancy one; Jack is rather loaded after all, and Ianto lets him splurge if he insists that it's all for himself), get in the hot tub eagerly, and then the bloody power goes out. While it's being fixed, they go get dinner, but then Jack's wrist strap starts beeping incessantly, and they start heading back to the Hub. Halfway there, with their now-takeout, Gwen calls them to say it's a false alarm, not to worry, just enjoy yourselves *snicker snicker*. So Jack just pulls over and they eat on the grass. But it's chilly, and Ianto's shivering. Always the hero, Jack gives him his coat. Not like he's going to die of hypothermia or anything. But now he's cold, too, dammit. So he rummages around and collects a bunch of sticks. Ianto eyes him suspiciously, but he's grateful when he finally realizes that Jack is lighting a fire. A nice, big, roaring (and potentially hazardous, of course, because this IS Jack) fire. When Jack finally returns, Ianto leans against him. Jack tries to point out different constellations, but he realizes rather quickly that Ianto isn't paying attention. He is, however, yawning. They snuggle a bit, and then finally Jack puts out the fire and they go back to the hotel.
(Oh, I see you added more! CRAP! Errr....)
The next day happens to be rather eventful, as Ianto has to buy something for his niece's birthday and they still need to pick out something for Gwen's wedding. It takes Ianto a solid ten minutes to explain to Jack that no they could NOT buy both presents at the toy store, thank you very much. Besides, Gwen is registered and that will be quick and painless. But they still need to go to the toy store. Ianto settles on something rather quickly, innocuous and sweet and generic. Jack, of course, isn't content to leave until he touches EVERYTHING. Ianto drags him out before security can get to them; let it be said that Nerf guns HURT. Jack pouts the whole way back to the hotel but brightens up markedly when they get into the room. He will push a protesting Ianto onto the bed and, feeling bad, will start to massage his shoulders. Ianto will enjoy it immensely, obviously, and it will lead to other events. Also obvious. Later, as the evening progresses as they lazily remain in bed the rest of the day, Jack will see the beginnings of a particularly spectacular meteor shower. He will drag a further protesting Ianto (the bed was NICE...why leave it?!) and pull him to the window, wrapping his arms around him. Ianto will quip about how he hopes it isn't an alien invasion. Jack will laugh and nuzzle his neck. And they will kiss, because that's what happens at the end of fluffy fluff stories.
There. Plot outline is sorted. Although I don't think it can go farther than this lol :)
Yay! I'm glad! I just...I love reading fluff so much, I figure I should contribute. And I'm usually much better about writing happy fics to counterbalance the sad, but...not so much lately!
