I got into TW before I got into Firefly, but the parallels scare me sometimes!
Also Mal and Jack wear braces, Simon and Ianto wear vests (and look damn hot in suits).
But TW has man smexin so it wins hands down. If only Joss shipped Mal/Simon...
I still loves my Jack/Ianto best. :DDD

Jack and Mal should meet each other some day and compare their manpain. Though Jack would win.
And Tosh=Kaylee
Gwen could be Shepherd Book. I can't see her as Zoe.
I read somewhere that they would have had some innuendo between Simon and Jayne if they had continued. And Mal would have continued pining after Inara. :((

YES! Tosh is so Kaylee! Oh! It's perfect. And Gwen is an accurate Shephard Book on most counts. She can only be Zoe occasionally because Rhys is totally Wash.

But who's River!?

I can handle Mal pining for Inara sort pf, because I adore her. But! Simon/Jayne innuendo!? I'm down. *Now really hates the networks*

River... hmmm, hard one.
She fits Lisa as the smuggled/injured one.
And part Myfanwy as the... pet? (Ianto/Simon adores her, though the Ianto-Myfanwy adoration is fanon).
And the Rift for sheer awesomeness/kick-ass.

From TVTropes: "According to Adam Baldwin, there would have been deliberate innuendo between Simon and Jayne if the series hadn't been cancelled." Dunno if that is true though...

Oh, she is definitely the Rift. I like that. And fanon is fine; sometimes I trust it more than I do canon. :)

And, not that it matters now, but I HOPE it was true. That's just fantastic!
