Thoughts, Anyone? Time To Share!

So, my mom calls me at work today to make sure that I didn't die in the spontaneous ice storm. She ended the call with "Torchwood Forever!" She still has not seen the show.

In other news, I am developing an unhealthy fascination with Owen. It's bad. And I have been thinking, the past few days, that Owen plays the piano. At least, I want him to play the piano. I couldn't figure out why at first. And then, duh. House. Snarky doctors with bad bedside manner ALWAYS play piano.

That said, anyone have anything they assume various characters do/want/need/like? I mean stuff that no one can prove, but that just seems so right (for whatever reason)? Not even fanon stuff, just strange quirks.

I have Owen playing the piano. That's about all I can think of for now.

Oh! And Ianto hating dogs and Jack hating cats. Well, not hate, per se, but they certainly disapprove. Which is hilarious when you think about it. 

Double oh!  Gwen and Rhys own the Are You Being Served? boxed set and watch it together, and Rhys really really really wants to call Jack "Captain Peacock."

I'll post more as I think of them. This is going to spawn plot bunnies, isn't it?

Ianto fits his Audi. i like to think about what kind of cars people "fit" and yep... he fits it... other then that... i've put a giant wooden playground in Cardiff... cause i believe there has to be one there. thats about it so far for me. :)

oh, and plot bunnies come from eggs. like the cadbury bunny. i realized that last night. the bunnies lay eggs in my brain all alien-like.

She can be. My family and coworkers are, too. I think they just like laughing at me, though.

I dunno where this Owen obsession came from. It's really really bizarre.

Oh noes. You just ruined my dreams of Jack hating cats. Grrr! lol

I like giant wooden playgrounds. I can firmly stand behind this belief.

And I get the car thing, though I don't know enough about cars to make accurate statements. I wish I did. Boo.

Jack would *be* a cat. He would be all lazy, and cuddly, and would get stroked all day long and he would love it.

I agree about the car. He is only shagging Jack so that he gets to drive the SUV which is awesome and HAS JET ENGINES (or something like that).

I dunno about Owen, but Jack would play the piano. And do so in a very angsty, dark, Captain Nemo-ish kind of way.

Owen would knit. I can see him knitting. Maybe that's where the nerd!Owen cardigan came from. ;P

See, I think he's more of a dog and Ianto's the cat. But I think it could work either way. Oh, this is seriously messing with my brain.

You have a point, Jack would make a good dog too. Maybe something in between? A rabbit? It's energetic, cuddly and shags a lot. And I can see Ianto being a cat person. I'd like to recommend this great fic in which Ianto and Jack get turned into a dog and cat respectively. I've gotten my mom hooked on Torchwood, and she loves Owen!

Love anyone trying to bring Are You Being Served into TW! (I can imagine Jack's scowl at "Captain Peacock"!) We have all the box sets (have all the sets of TW too) and I find myself imagining which Grace Bros. people the TW characters would be. (I've wayyy too much time on my hands...)
