Super Sekrit Surprise Update!

We have been talking about this "Super Sekrit Surprise" for a while now. Well, the time has finally come. Or, will come, shortly.
I intend to post the first part today! TODAY! I'm a little nervous. Expect it up sometime before 6pm EST (pending any problems, like me having to stay late at work).
You know, I'm talking it up like it's fantastic. It really isn't that big of a deal, at least on my part. Oh well! I am rather proud of it, even still.
Thank you to everyone who's helped with this, in whatever shape your assistance took. It truly was a wonderful opportunity to work with you and create such a wonderful gift.
Also, I'm going to take a moment right here to thank my mom. I thank her in my header notes, of course, but she has really been awesome. You see, she has diabetic retinopathy (and is therefore almost completely blind at this stage), so she likes when I read to her. I told her about what I was writing (I've been working on it since OCTOBER!) and she would call me over the intercom to offer suggestions. Many of them made no sense in the context of TW, but she was invested in helping me. Sometimes, her assistance would come in making me giggle and speaking to me in ridiculous British accents. Finally, a few days ago, she asked me to read it to her. I did. Her suggestions were abundant and helpful, and I made her laugh hysterically (something she hasn't done in a while). Even having never seen the show, she was a wonderful source of historic information and literary criticism. So, yeah, my mom helped to beta my story. What of it? :) And although we aren't having Christmas this year, and she and I are both devastated about this, I hope I made her happy for a little while.
Okay, enough rambling. See you all later! :)

Date: 2010-12-16 02:17 pm (UTC)And thank you for your reassurances! You know how I am...it's like I've got stage fright (which is strange, as I don't actually get stage fright when I'm on stage).
In any case...we'll see how it's received!

Date: 2010-12-16 09:53 pm (UTC)Your certainty of its fabulousness worries me. I promise, it is nothing that special. The more I think about it, the more I think I'm a total loser! lol Perhaps in a good way, though. :) Thanks for the vote of confidence! :-D
