So. Some things.

First. I have the coolest boss. Who is like Jack. Kinda sorta. Minus the whole "I can't die" and "I'm from the 51st Century" and "I fight for humanity" things. And he set me up so that I can WORK FROM HOME! (As if I wasn't already a workaholic...). I can run queries from here and analyze data and do everything! This is so cool! (I sound like Tosh...).

In other news. I had some thoughts today about not-ficable things, but that I've adopted as head-canon.

Okay, so, in my head. Owen and Ianto argue about what the best Radiohead album is. Owen is much more fond of The Bends, while Ianto prefers Kid A. Owen finds Kid A to be a load of pretentious bullshit, but Ianto disagrees. Owen points out that he would disagree, because Ianto's a load of pretentious bullshit, too. In order to prevent a fight, Jack offers to listen and decides that they're both nuts; neither album should be classified as music. Owen and Ianto join forces to tease him about his damned big band music and Jack allows it as it's keeping them both from strangling each other.

Also, to piss Ianto off, Owen has put his copy of The Streets' Original Pirate Material on his iPod. Ianto was going to take it off, but then Owen was shot, and so he left it there. He had forgotten about it after Owen came back. Months later, when the Hub is quiet and he almost craves Owen's cynicism and snark, he is grateful for his temporary forgetfulness. He puts on "The Same Old Thing" and it's almost like Owen is still sitting right there. It's painful and comforting at the same time; he's yet to find something that fits Tosh, at least not with the same kind of raw power.

This is what I think on my way home from work, stuck in traffic. Apparently.

Now back to doing more work for free! :)

Sometimes it is SO refreshing to know that I'm not the only one who thinks about these sorts of things CONSTANTLY. Though, Im' not sure I can see Owen listening to Radiohead. Just sayin.

HAHA! I already considered this. You see, The Bends came out in '97, so Owen was, what, in high school? It's a nostalgia thing for him, more so than anything. And I think he would have liked it in high school, if not at present.
