OMG. Some random notes as I watch.

Flashes of GDL's face! GDL's face is like bad portents for the series, though.

So. Something from their past comes back to haunt them, a mistake made to a child who grows up and then seeks revenge for a perceived fault. Their (sentient?) base is going to explode. It's like...all the things of TW that made me cry rolled into one thing.

The scene of explosions...was actually really well done, I think.

Date: 2011-10-05 12:02 am (UTC)But sadly, I felt it was done better a lot better than Torchwood, like I was thinking how they did things the way I would have liked to see them done on Torchwood. Rusty never gave a lot of time to their deaths like this where Claudia was able to be mad and confrontive and grieve and everything. Maybe if we had had a little more of this, we wouldn't have attacked Rusty so hard.
However, despite blowing up their hub and everything, it ended on that glimmer of hope that Artie still had technology to set things right rather than, Look! Now Rex is like Jack, that makes everything okay!
Sorry about the ranting...I think I'm fine and then something happens to make all my rage come back. I just really loved that season finale last night.
I only have one complaint...that all awesome men with gay relationships who work for mysterious organizations must DIE!
*facepalm*
Plus, I thought we'd at least get to see him kiss or something...
However, if it does get fixed, or at least Mrs. Frederic, I'd still love to read an AU fanfic where Claudia so upset is now thrust into Mrs. Frederic's place and what she does.

Maybe after HG comes back from the dead they will have much more than subtext! Like, loads more! Like we're suddenly writing fic about them in greenhouses?
(I mean, seriously! HG: "I'm really old, technically, have some sort of undefinable sexuality, and have been with this organization since the Victorian era! Also, even though I do things that seem horrible, it's out of love and mourning for someone I lost who is so very dear to me! And some old guy who likes tea showed me the wonders of the universe!"
