Coworker: Oh, look, I wanna show you! *Pulls out phone and shoves it in my face. There is a giant picture of Ten on it* He's my favorite Doctor!
Other Coworker In Elevator: Oh! My son watches that show religiously! I used to watch it, decades ago!
Coworker: Did they used to have a character like Jack back then?
Me: *In my head* I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry.

Because sometimes, I feel like a Cyberman. "You are compatible. You will be upgraded. Watch Doctor Who." *Stomps away* ("Because sometimes, I feel like a Cyberman" sounds like a line in a really awesome horrible rap.)

Also, I feel like I'm turning my office into a Doctor Who convention. This is what happens, I guess. Will all the actors and writers and everyone come hang out in my office if I give them fancy badges to wear? (I totally just typed "badgers," too. Yes. Give them badgers. This will entice them!)

I am clearly insane and over-caffeinated. Don't mind me! :D

I don't know why it feels like it's been so long since I've updated. It hasn't been. But here I am.

I also wanted to thank you all for your prompts! I managed to write something tonight! YAY. It's been really hard to sit down and get words out; every time I do, I end up updating my food journal or researching recipes.

Speaking of - I've lost ten pounds in the past 10 days. This is Very Exciting News. The diet has been going well, too. I've not yet deviated and I'm keeping track of everything I put in my mouth. It's funny - I'm more obsessed with food now than I ever have been. Oh well. And I'm taking SO MANY vitamins. I take 6 different vitamins/supplements a day. In any case, I've been much more energetic the past couple of days. Let's hope this lasts.

And I'm having fun with it. I went on a cooking spree yesterday, so I have plenty of food to last me through the week. Three different flavor chicken breasts, sauteed kale, roasted Brussels sprouts, vegan chili, and these lentil cakes that I adapted from this recipe with stuff I had on hand. As I had lentils, kale, and sweet potatoes, though, that wasn't too hard. They came out pretty well! I think I might try them on a wrap at some point, with hummus and a bit of lettuce.

Anyway. Enough about food, even if it's all I can think about now! So. Uh. That concludes this entry? ;)

Basically, I was watching Countrycide to work on this fic, and I just...kept humming this song to myself. And then I played it while watching the Tractor Scene. It amused me.

So, as I've said before, I listened to Department X on the way home from California. And, while I still have no idea what was going on in terms of plot, I really liked the interactions between Jack and Ianto (and I never much pay attention to plot, anyway). Wanna know why? Probably not. But just in case you do, read on!

Can someone please write me a really well-written plausible, plotty, domestic Jack/Ianto mpreg story that's fully in character and has a happy ending?

I know the fandom has a handful (or less than) that meet that criteria, and I'm pretty sure I've read them all. Is this...a practically non-existent thing? I think it must be.

Why do I always want things that are so hard to find!? And to feel all warm and cozy. And what is with me and babies lately!? *Worried*

So I'm finally watching Part 1 of The Deathly Hallows, yeah? Not very far in yet. BUT. Luna Lovegood's father's got this pendant.

So I decided that I should be healthy! I made All The Doctor's Appointments for the first time in four years (YAY, Health Insurance!) and then I went to the grocery store to buy healthy foods to eat. You know, so I don't order takeout all the time. Especially at work.

I buy all of these great things to bring to work - hummus, and salad stuff, and light wheat bread, and turkey, and yogurt, etc. Then I get home and realize that I spent too much time shopping AND I bought absolutely nothing to eat for dinner, so I ordered a pizza. A bacon pizza.

It was delicious.

LOL @ Mood Icon. JACK'S FACE. "Jack knows you ate that pizza! Jack is disappointed in you!" It makes me feel even worse.

ETA: The mood icon to my previous entry is Gwen delivering pizza to Ianto. It's a whole epic tale of tragedy!

(Not really that major.) Having reached a perfect stopping point with our ianto_bigbang (it's been beta'd, tidied, and submitted to the mods with a summary for their esteemed checking!), we...well, we stopped. Which is, I suppose, what one does when a stopping point is reached. ;)
